Biography

Theodore has experience with commercial, corporate, construction and engineering disputes.

Theodore acts as junior in an on-going major oil and gas arbitration involving complex engineering and offshore installation issues. He is also involved in land references arising out of the compulsory land acquisition exercises undertaken for the MRT project, and is presently involved in a construction dispute in respect of the world’s tallest spiraled twin residential towers in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Theodore was part of the team that successfully resisted an injunction by a Malaysian parent company seeking to remove a Legal Representative in company in China, and the appeal therefrom in the Court of Appeal. He also assisted Partner Ganesan Nethi in a suit brought by a public listed company against the former shareholders of its subsidiary company for breaches of contract and negligent misrepresentation in the course of the listing exercise.

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Theodore was a Perdana Fellow to the Malaysian Primary Industries and Commodities Minister, focusing on the palm oil and rubber industry.

Theodore converses fluently in Mandarin, and is able to accept instructions in all areas within the Firm’s practice.
